The agency provides homeless support services for women, men, couples and families with children, including people who are undocumented. Services include bathing facilities, case/care management, general physical examinations, HIV testing, homeless drop in centers, laudry facilities, outreach programs, temporary mailing address, and welfare rights assistance. Services are restricted to SPA 5 residents. The Homeless Outreach teams provides homeless, mentally disabled people with referral services. The team provides resources to assist with employment or welfare benefits advocacy, housing, health and mental health referrals. There is a special outreach project for dually diagnosed, mentally ill substance abusers that provides case management and counseling. In addition, a veterans outreach program provides case management for homeless veterans; the Night Lite outreach program provides street youth in the West Los Angeles area with food bags and referrals to social service programs. The Swashlock program provides 75-100 homeless people with a locker, daily showers and weekly laundry room services. The program requires that members are willing to work, participate in a short term educational program and make a conscious effort towards securing employment.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm; Tuesday, 1:00pm to 5:00pm; and Saturday, 9:00am to 11:00am.
